About Ahmad Sewa Sansthan

AHMAD SEWA SANSTHAN is a voluntary organization. It was founded by some prominent and devoted social workers with the belief to bring social change that could only be possible with the change in the lives of poor and marginalized people. The pioneer member of ASS believed in equality and social justice. They experienced that rural people are voiceless, poor, unaware, uneducated, they don’t have access to education, employment, health and voice for their rights. They remain unaware of various development schemes of government, the fruit of efforts did not trickle down and disseminate to these poor and so their life remains stagnant with any steady improvement. They born as poor, pass their lives in poverty and die as poor. This really pathetic situation of poor touched the heart and finally an organization got registered in 2014, under societies registration Act 1860 with the name AHMAD SEWA SANSTHAN for the development and upliftment of women, children & deprived section of society. The organization has been working for about 08 years for the welfare of Women, Children, deprived section of Society, environmental awareness, consumer awareness, welfare of poor youths, particularly rural sections of the society through various developmental programs with the objectives to develop sustainable self-reliant community through their active participation in all development efforts.

Brief Profile of the Chief Functionary

ABDUL KADIR

(Secretary)

Ahmad Sewa Sansthan

Abdul Qadir hails from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, and holds a master’s degree along with a B.Ed. From a young age, he was deeply moved by the social issues surrounding him, especially the sight of children begging on the streets or working in garages. This led him to question why these children were not attending school like he did.

In 2014, inspired by his observations, Abdul and his friends founded the Ahmad Seva Sansthan to combat child labor and begging, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of education in their community.

During his outreach, Abdul encountered a young girl in Amwa Johar village who had been married at the age of 16 and was already a mother by 18. This experience solidified his commitment to prevent child marriages in his community.

Today, Abdul actively conducts community meetings to educate families about the negative impacts of child marriage and to promote girls’ education. Through his organization, he works tirelessly to raise awareness and create change, focusing on the prevention of child labor and begging, ensuring a brighter future for the children in Bahraich.
