Nai Zindagi: Transforming Lives through Nutrition and Education

At Nai Zindagi, we are committed to ensuring a healthier and brighter future for children less than five years of age by addressing malnutrition and providing pre-primary education. Through our structured programs, we work at the grassroots level to create awareness, provide essential nutrition, and empower communities to break the cycle of poverty and poor health.

Key Objectives of Nai Zindagi:

  • Spreading Awareness on Nutrition: Educating communities about the importance of proper nutrition for maternal and child health.
  • Sensitization Drives: Conducting campaigns to inform citizens about the significance of balanced diets and essential nutrients.
  • Identification and Outreach: Reaching pregnant and lactating women to provide them with nutritional support and guidance.
  • Awareness Initiatives: Organizing drives, health camps, and fairs focused on children under six years and adolescent girls.
  • Promoting ‘Swasth Bharat’: Aligning with national health initiatives to sensitize citizens and promote a culture of well-being.

Panchayat Level Activities:

Nai Zindagi actively collaborates with government bodies and community leaders to implement its programs effectively:

  • Local Governance Participation: Engaging District Panchayati Raj Officers and Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) to drive awareness activities.
  • Field-Level Support: Working with frontline health workers (Anganwadi Workers – AWWs, Accredited Social Health Activists – ASHAs, and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives – ANMs) to ensure delivery of child development services.
  • Village Health and Nutrition Days (VHNDs): Strengthening Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) to provide nutritional support and maternal healthcare.
  • Health & Wellness Programs: Organizing anaemia check-up camps, health awareness sessions, and Swasth Balak Spardha (Healthy Child Competitions).
  • Nutri-Gardens (Poshan Vatikas): Identifying land near AWCs to set up kitchen gardens for sustainable nutritional support.
